Music is B-RadInspiration: Brad at the Hi Fi Created: Fri 17 Jan 2003 22:58 View in current style I love music. I love movies too, but movies are, for me, a relatively recent enjoyment. Music's been with me forever. From the day a family friend taped Cyndi Lauper's "She's So Unusual" onto a cassette for me, to the Pearl Jam concerts that I camped out all night for, to the first Something for Kate gig and the subsequent obsession (to put it mildly), all the way up until today. Music is, quite simply, my thing. There's something about music that just gets to me. Makes me feel passionate. Makes me want more. Makes me obsessive. I love to sing at the top of my voice when I'm driving alone in my car, and I don't care what the people next to me at the traffic lights think. Hell, that's the best thing about having a driver's license. And for the last 9 years or so, there's been Brad. Brad have never been in my "top 10 best albums of all time, if you don't like this, you're a damn fool" list. They're sleepers. They just kick back, biding their time - not getting in anyone's way. But they're there. Hiding in amongst all those other CDs. Surprising me whenever I chuck them on with just how good they are. I've got a huge soft spot in my heart for them. When I listen to their music, I smile so much that I almost start to cry. This is what music does to me. Last night, I went to see Brad for the second time. They were brilliant. If you weren't there, you missed out. Seriously.
P.S. heckle of the night: "we love you silent bob!"
