Up to mischief before leaving the cattery
The long journey
Getting to know her new home

Yesterday, there was me, Jud, and Franklin. Today, there is a new member of this motley crew (just don't tell our landlord).

As alluded to a few weeks ago, we were on the hunt for a new pet; Burmese being the order of the day. And whilst we didn't end up getting the little bundle of fluff pictured back then, we do have an even more beautiful little kitten to share the flat with (this is not a biased statement).

I'd tell you her name, but she doesn't have one yet (as for Andrew's comment in that other entry - there is a front-runner - a name that I really like - but Jud's not sold on it, and he wears the pants. So, it'll have to be "kitty" for now.).

What I can tell you about her is that she's a Burmese lilac tortie, and her date of birth is the 20th of October 2002, which means she's about 16 weeks old.

I wonder what it must feel like to be picked up and put into a little box, and taken away from your mum and sisters. And not knowing when you'll see them again (and not realising that you probably won't see them again - ever). For this little kitty, the way of coping so far seems to be alternating between hiding under the couch and dozing, and running around the room like a mad thing - pausing every few seconds and then running off again. I guess that's as good a way as any.

Meanwhile, we watch, laugh, gasp, and try to snatch cuddles in between the running. So far, so good.

it's a kitten thing... the whole running around like a maniac. my kitten, before i had to give her away before i moved, did exactly the same thing... you have to be quick when trying to catch them for a hug :)

She is gorgeous by the way :) Lovely colour :)

Commenting has been turned off because of my inability to cope with the ridiculous amount of spammage I was receiving. Sorry!
