Decoder Ring Decoder Ring
I'm starting to think that I need to change my inherent aversion to instrumental and mainly instrumental bands, because there are so many good ones out there. See, I'm a huge lyrics fan, and for a while, I just couldn't get interested in music that didn't have lyrics. The lyrics madeth the song. But with bands like Tortoise, Mogwai, etc. out there, how can I not appreciate a great tune, even if it doesn't focus around vocals? With this in mind, Decoder Ring supported Trans Am on Thursday eve. They were great.

Neil Hamburger - it's for the best that this photo is blurry Phil of Trans Am
Post Decoder Ring, we were treated to a surprise appearance by Neil Hamburger, who gave us such comic delights as:

How many Red Hot Chili Peppers does it take to screw in a light bulb?
It depends how recently they shot up.

Really, he just tells the exact same jokes every time you see him.

Rock Dadgad Not Baghdad Sebastian of Trans Am
After much waiting, Trans Am ambled on stage and gave everything they could, with opinionated t-shirts or no shirts, drum sticks, keys, strings, or effects on their mics. While I'm talking about them, and because I have nothing else to say, here's my favourite publicity shot of Trans Am.

The publicity shot is hilarious.

Commenting has been turned off because of my inability to cope with the ridiculous amount of spammage I was receiving. Sorry!
